Committed to empowering Filipinos with dependable mobility, Foton Philippines initiates quality vocational education and competent skills priming at Foton Academy.
“We are driven to advance the skills of our fellowmen and aspire to be enablers of strong mobility, which is how we aim to empower Filipinos through Foton Academy,” says Foton Motor Philippines, Inc., (FMPI) President Rommel Sytin.
In partnership with the Pampanga Manpower Training Center (PMTC), deserving students may enroll to acquire new sets of skills under a 6-month training program at Foton Academy. Enrollees of the program receive top-rated education without paying for tuition fees or miscellaneous expenses.
“Ngayong nandyan yung Foton Motors, na-upgrade kami, kumbaga nagkaroon kami ng advance technology na pwede naming maibahagi sa mga trainings natin,” says Administrative Officer of PMTC, Wilmie R. Nichols
To date, the first batch of vocational scholars have graduated from the academy and have honed skills relevant to the automotive industry. By undergoing the program, participants gain proficiency and experience in the field that acquired them the Automotive Servicing National Certificate (NC) II. The graduates are guaranteed employment at the sprawling FMPI Assembly Plant located at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
This undertaking of FMPI, in collaboration with the PMTC and Pampanga Provincial Government, presents a long-term solution in combating the depleting employment rate due to setbacks brought about by the pandemic.
Aligned with the commitment of Foton to support the growth and development of the economy and of the manufacturing industry, the company spearheaded an array of corporate social projects during the pandemic as a step forward for national and local development as well as for the welfare of the citizens.
