The Queen City of the South is now home to two new Nissan dealerships – Nissan Cebu South, and Nissan Cebu Central – that are ready to serve the vibrant Cebuano market.
At a press conference held at the dealership in Talisay City, Nissan officials disclosed that the Navara and Almera are the current segment leaders in Region 7 and that the company has experienced a 124% growth in the region for Q1 2017 compared to the same period last year. These numbers accounted for 8% of the total sales of the Japanese manufacturer in the country.
“In the past year, the Nissan brand has grown significantly in the region of Cebu,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, president and managing director of Nissan Philippines Inc. “and to continue to support this growth, we are very excited to be opening not just one, but two new NREDI compliant dealerships, allowing us to enhance our Cebuano customers’ experience with the Nissan brand” he added.
The two new dealerships sport Nissan’s new global visual identity – officially called the Nissan Retail Environment Design Initiative 2.1 or NREDI 2.1 – and are the fourth and fifth dealerships in the country, and part of only a handful of dealerships in the world that are already compliant with the brand’s new global standard. In the Philippines, aside from the newly opened Cebu dealerships, only Nissan Sucat, Nissan Marilao, and Nissan Iloilo carry the global design.

Nissan Cebu South
Located on Highway Linao in Talisay City, the dealership has over 3,000 square meters of retail and service space with more room for expansion. Nissan Cebu South is part of the Gateway Group of companies led by scions Markane and Michael Goho, who also have a stake in Nissan dealerships in Luzon, and soon in Mindanao.
Nissan Cebu Central
Owned and operated by the Autocentral Group led by President Brian Chua, the dealership is located along A. Soriano Avenue and has a floor area of 5,000 square meters. Nissan Cebu Central also has the distinction of being the first dealership in the country to offer the Nissan Intelligent Choice (NIC) program — Nissan’s certified pre-owned program that presents a trustworthy and reliable medium for trading or buying pre-owned Nissan vehicles. Vehicles entered in the program go through a 125-point check-up before they are offered to potential buyers. All vehicles acquired through the program also come with a 1-year warranty honored nationwide.
