Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI), the No.1 motorcycle manufacturer in the country, has announced the arrival of one of the most highly awaited and exciting bikes in the Philippines – the all-new PCX160!
The all-new PCX160 is powered by a new 4-Stroke, 157cc, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, Single Overhead Cam (SOHC), Enhanced Smart Power+ (ESP+) engine, providing a powerful combination of power and performance with an 11.8kW@ 8,500rpm and a highly efficient 45.1 Km/L fuel consumption. It has advanced and exciting features such as its new LED head and taillights; a hazard lamp, wider tubeless tires for a safer ride; twin shock rear suspension for smoother rides; a sporty full digital meter panel for improved information visibility.
What’s more, the all-new PCX160 is equipped with an idling stop system (ISS) to avoid wasteful fuel consumption. It also has an upgraded and secured front pocket sufficient to keep a 1.7-liter bottle, an improved USB-type power outlet for convenient gadget charging, a smart key with an anti-theft alarm, and an answer-back system for better motorcycle security. In addition, its 30-liter utility box gives riders bigger storage space, while its 8-liter fuel tank capacity enables longer and more enjoyable journeys.
The all-new PCX160 is available with two brake variations—the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) type and the Combi-Brake System (CBS) type. Both variants are equipped with front and rear disc brakes.
The ABS variant comes with a Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), guaranteeing smooth stops even during sudden brakes and added wheel traction in slippery road conditions. This has two premium color variants to choose from – Asteroid Black Metallic and Pearl Fadeless White, with an introductory price of Php 133,900.
On the other hand, the CBS variant combines its front and rear brakes, allowing smoother operation and handling while braking. It also comes in two premium color variants, Matte Dim Gray Metallic and Pearl Fadeless White, with an introductory price of Php115,900.
