After a long wait, Ford Philippines has finally brought in its 15-seater minibus, the 7th-generation Ford Transit.
Since it was launched in 1965, the Ford Transit has set the benchmark for commercial vehicles for its capacity, power, and performance. While introduced first in Europe, the Transit has made its way across other continents and countries over the past few years, even garnering several awards for its fuel efficiency, design, and value.
To date, Ford has produced over seven (7) million units of the Transit across the world with a constantly evolving design to keep up with the demands of enterprise customers.
“Given its global success in boosting productivity for businesses, we at Ford are excited to bring the all-new Transit with the continued growth of the light commercial bus and van segment (LCBV) in the Philippines. The all-new Transit offers a unique appeal to businesses and relevant sectors and is poised to help drive productivity and business growth,” said PK Umashankar, managing director, Ford Philippines.
Performance Capabilities
The all-new Transit offers work-ready performance capability to bring maximum productivity for any business’ transportation and mobility needs. Powered by Ford’s 2.2L Duratorq Diesel engine, the Transit promises 133 HP of power and 385 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) manual transmission, meeting performance demands while remaining fuel-efficient.
