Cyclist, marathoner, triathlete, and TV personality Kim Atienza has entered a partnership with the official importer and distributor of BMW Motorrad in the Philippines, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. and Petron Corporation.
Atienza, more commonly known as “Kuya Kim” started his broadcasting career in the 1990’s as an anchor. He is recognized for his famous trivia stints on television and radio, especially on his own show, Matanglawin. Aside from his experience in the entertainment industry, Kuya Kim also served in public office in the 5th District of Manila City.
After a series of health challenges, Kuya Kim committed himself to a more active and exciting lifestyle to aid in his recovery. This includes a series of marathons, triathlons, and his love for motorcycles.
Kuya Kim’s passion for two-wheels has ignited his desire to Make Life A Ride with BMW as an active member of the Motorrad riding community.

“Owning a BMW motorcycle has always been a dream of mine, ever since I saw the BMW R 50 in my neighbor’s garage. It has the power, the safety features, and the performance that really makes riding a joy. Thankfully, BMW Motorrad in the Philippines enabled me to own the BMW R 18 last year. To go along with my modern cruiser, BMW Motorrad and Petron Corporation will fuel my new adventures with the R 1250 GS Style Rallye, which I’ve been eyeing for quite some time,” said Kuya Kim.
With this renewed partnership with BMW Motorrad Philippines, the brand aims to draw like-minded enthusiasts into adventure riding while creating more awareness for the brand’s Rider Education and Road Safety advocacies.

The exciting partnership was forged at the BMW headquarters at RSA Motors Greenhills during an intimate Ceremonial Contract Signing event. Present at the event were representatives from SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. and Petron Corporation, two subsidiaries under the San Miguel Group.
