Mazda showcases 2019 lineup at the PIMS 2018

As per usual, Mazda’s was one of the best-looking pavillions at the show. The premium Japanese brand showcased its 2019 lineup where the latest evolution of its Kodo: Soul of Motion design language and the most advanced SKYACTIV Technology suite of engineering solutions at the 5-day spectacle that was the 7th Philippine International Motor Show.

All-new for model year 2019 is an exquisite range of nameplates highlighting the latest rendition of Mazda’s signature design philosophy as well as groundbreaking engineering innovations that introduce the next-generation direction of SKYACTIV Technology.

Leading the pack was the Mazda6 with a fresh new look penned to evoke dynamism and emotion. With heightened improvements in dynamic handling, an even more luxurious riding feel with its quieter and smoother cabin, and more powerful 2.2-liter SKYACTIV-D engine and more fuel efficient 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G gasoline engine options, the all-new 2019 Mazda6 brings class-above quality and drivability to a new generation of car owners who value an exhilarating premium driving experience.

Championing Mazda’s crossover lineup is an all-new introduction to its flagship CX-9 model range. The 2019 CX-9 Signature Edition is Mazda’s most luxurious vehicle to date and it features an even more elegant interior lined with meticulously crafted Rosewood trim and Nappa leather seats in all three rows. The 2019 CX-9 Signature Edition is the true pinnacle of class and refinement in the realm of 7-seater crossovers.

Both the all-new 2019 model year Mazda6 and 2019 CX-9 Signature Edition continue to come with G-Vectoring Control, the realization of Mazda SKYACTIV Vehicle Dynamics designed to help achieve a smoother, more engaging ride. And to further complement the improved driving experience for the 2019 CX-9 Signature Edition, it is now equipped with Apple Car Play and Android Auto which enhance connectivity and improve interaction between the car and driver.

To highlight the brand’s all-encompassing Jinba Ittai or horse and rider driving ethos, the world’s most popular sports car, the MX-5 open-top, two-seat Roadster, was once again the centerpiece of the brand’s presence at the PIMS. Now with a higher-revving 184-ps SKYACTIV-G 2-liter gasoline motor and telescopic steering wheel adjustment across the new model range, the 2019 MX-5 in both soft-top coupe and RF lines, continue to heighten the sensation of top-down sports car driving to a whole new level.

The 2019 Mazda SKYACTIV Collection also includes award-winning models packed with the updated SKYACTIV body, chassis, engine and driving dynamics technologies and innovations designed to bridge next-generation technology and current-day demands. The highly efficient and stylish Mazda2, along with the definitive Mazda3 shall complement the premium Japanese brand’s passenger car presentation. Further reinforcing this visual feast is the equally commanding presence of Mazda’s full crossover lineup which also includes the trend-setting CX-3 and the smart and svelte CX-5.
