The Defender 90’s short wheelbase and minimal overhangs result in excellent off-road geometry, making it the most capable Land Rover ever made.
The D90 is powered by a state-of-the-art Ingenium D240 twin-turbocharged diesel powertrain mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with independent front and rear suspensions with adaptive dynamics for more refined comfort, and a class-leading All-Wheel Drive system. Its extraordinary all-terrain capabilities allow drivers to select one of several modes that optimize performance on a variety of different surfaces.

The new body architecture provides ground clearance of 226mm and a maximum wading depth of 850mm and is supported by a new Wade sensing system, which ensures drivers can cross deep water with complete confidence. On dry land, Land Rover’s advanced ClearSight Ground View technology helps drivers take full advantage of its all-conquering capability by showing the area usually hidden by the bonnet, directly ahead of the front wheels, on the central touchscreen. This raises the bar for both off-road ruggedness and on-road comfort.
New Defender is as technologically advanced as it is durable with its Pivi Pro infotainment with a 10-inch touchscreen display. The intuitive and user-friendly system requires fewer inputs to perform frequently used tasks, while the always-on design guarantees almost instant responses.
Customers are able to further personalize their vehicle with four Accessory Packs – Urban, Country, Adventure, and Explorer – each giving the Defender a distinct character with a specially selected range of enhancements.
