Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicle in the Philippines, has launches the All-New Subaru XV in Manila.
Representing the first full model change since the original Subaru XV was launched in 2012, this new crossover will excite drivers in a multitude of settings, from urban driving to the great outdoors. It is also the second model to employ the revolutionary Subaru Global Platform which will make every drive an experience with heightened levels of confidence, comfort and control.

The All-New Subaru XV comes in two variants: the 2.0i and the 2.0i-S. Both variants are built with the new Subaru Global Platform and come with a 2.0-liter Direct Fuel Injection naturally aspirated Boxer engine, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, XMODE vehicle control system, a rugged and sporty design with enhanced interior and exterior quality, and enhanced safety features such as High Beam Assist, Steering Responsive Headlights, and Subaru Rear View Detection.
The new Subaru Global Platform improves the vehicle’s rigidity through the body and chassis by over 70 percent compared to previous models, resulting in reduced vibration and body roll, and delivering a smoother, quieter ride. While the revamped 2.0-liter Boxer engine is 12Kg lighter and delivers more power and fuel economy with Direct Injection technology, the Lineartronic transmission is also 7.8Kg lighter than previous models and features auto-step shift control and 7-speed manual mode function, providing the driver with greater control over the vehicle. A quicker steering gear ratio and lower center of gravity rewards drivers with highly responsive steering and straight line stability. The result is a more fun and engaging driving experience.
In addition to Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive System, the All-New Subaru XV now comes equipped with X-MODE, enhancing the driving performance in challenging terrain through optimized integrated control of the engine, all-wheel drive system, brakes and other functions. The Hill Descent Control setting gives drives greater peace of mind by maintaining low speeds on downhill slopes.
Sitting in a wide and low stance, the All-New Subaru XV features a distinctive rugged and sporty design that incorporates the company’s new DYNAMIC x SOLID design philosophy, combining advanced styling with superior aerodynamics while retaining the high ground clearance of 220mm. The exterior features Subaru’s iconic hexagonal grille with C-shaped headlights, matte black cladding in the front bumper, and a new aluminum wheel design.
Complementing its rugged and aggressive exterior design, the All-New Subaru XV’s spacious and refined interior provides the driver and passengers a spacious and comfortable ride. An 8.0-inch touch-screen display infotainment system featured in the interior offers integrated navigation and enables smartphone connectivity for drivers to stay connected safely. In addition, features such as all-round visibility, cabin space and cargo room have been improved.
Subaru takes utmost pride in safety. And the All-New Subaru XV has recently won the Grand Prix Award in the Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP) Colision Safety Performance Assessment with the highest score ever. Passive safety in the All-New Subaru XV has also been improved as a result of tthe new Subaru Global Platform’s frame structure.
The All-New Subaru XV 2.0i and 2.0i-S will be available for booking at all Subaru showrooms across the country.
