Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) completed the Hiace lineup this August with the launch of the all-new Super Grandia in three new variants: Elite, Leather, and Fabric.
“The Hiace Super Grandia is a preferred van of companies in various industries and is quite popular as a family vehicle. It has indeed become a symbol of comfort, convenience, and durability,” says TMP President Satoru Suzuki. “We are excited to bring a higher level of luxury and a delightful ride experience that Filipinos truly deserve with the all-new Hiace Super Grandia. We expect this model to further elevate the Hiace which currently has a 54.6% share in its segment, year-to-date as of July.”

The all-new Hiace Super Grandia is definitely not your run-of-the-mill commuter, offering luxurious accommodations for the driver and the passengers. Its strong front fascia features a large grille that merges with the defined bi-beam LED headlamps. The rear chrome garnish mirrors the front design and is complemented by the distinctive shape of the LED rear combination lamps. The chrome lining that runs along the side and bottom of the rear bumper accentuates the vehicle’s low center-of-gravity and wide stance.
From the side, the power sliding doors that are available for the Elite variant provides an inviting entrance to the luxurious cabin. Inside, four captain seats occupy the first and second rows, while the bench-type seating at the farthest row accommodates up to 4 more passengers. Just to be extra, mood lighting inside the cabin can be set to blue, amber, or white for the Elite variant, and its rear front row seats are upgraded to a pair of quilted leather 4-way Power Adjust Captain Seats with Ottomans. Individual reading lights for the rear passengers and automatic climate control are standard for all variants.
The all-new Hiace Super Grandia is powered by Toyota’s 1GD-FTV 2.8 Diesel A/T engine which produces 176 HP and 450 Nm of torque. The McPherson Strut suspension provides excellent handling and stability and a 4-Link Coil Spring rear suspension reduces cabin noise, vibration, and harshness, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride even on long drives.

All Super Grandia variants are equipped with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control with Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, Clearance and Back Sonars, Back Monitor, 9 SRS airbags (driver, front passenger, driver knee, front side, and curtain shield), and Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) 3-point seatbelts for the driver and all passengers.
On top of all the safety features that come standard with the Super Grandia, Toyota proudly announced that the Elite variant is the first vehicle in Toyota Motor Philippines’ official vehicle lineup that features Toyota Safety Sense (TSS). TSS incorporates active safety features that identify factors that may cause accidents and aid the driver in eliminating these factors. Features for this variant include the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Automatic High Beam (AHB).
